did you ever stop wondering?

as i grow more aware of who you really are
i become more attracted to your soul
always yearning to reach you
stretching my consciousness to feel you

it seems to be an addiction
or maybe just a symptom
of my soul’s desire to be known
a never ending quest for appreciation

it’s past twelve midnight
yet my mind still roams
in a world of words, full of silence
yet this silence speaks loudly
as i give meaning to each word
creating an essence to seemingly worthless symbol

as i go deeper in this
i see more the risks that i am taking
they impair my vision one by one
like heavy rain pouring over the windsheild
making the road blurry and unrecognizable

i want to go on
but i can’t see much ahead
will the rain stop, continue or
will it keep on pouring harder and harder
it’s getting darker and darker

i see things that are trivial to most
my attention is called by the smallest of things
my unheard thoughts are trapped
in a shell that’s bound to open

nang makilala ko na ang aking tunay na sarili
nasagot ang mga katanungan pa’unti ‘unti
sa iyong mga mata nakita kung sino ako
naunawaan ang buo kong pagkatao

look at the clouds i see an angel
from which a certain radiance emanates
making this lonely heart of mine swell
with the lucid nirvana she creates
